
Overview
As a preparation, you will enroll in an intensive interdisciplinary start programme for two months. You will be assigned a placement in a project abroad and an academic counsellor (coach) with whom you cooperate intensively during the following six month internship.
Goals
During this integrated experience the Advanced Bachelor Global Citizenship and Development degree from UC Leuven-Limburg aims you to:
- develop intercultural competences
- learn to understand local phenomena from a broad macro-social and political perspective
- gain insight into the functioning of a project and civil society
- think about how you can take an active role as a citizen in a globalized world
- regularly reflect on your own growth process

General requirements
- After having completed your Study programme (Choice of study), you must upload the required (and other relevant) documents.
- In case you have a non-Belgian passport and a Belgian residence permit, please upload colour scans of both. The Belgian residence permit must be uploaded under document type 'Other'.
- We require diploma(s) and transcripts + sworn translation, if documents are not issued in English, Dutch, French, German, Spanish, Italian by the school or university
- Language proficiency certificate: upload your test result (not older than 2 years) or if the language test requirement is waived, please upload your diploma or degree certificate as proof of language proficiency.
- Application fee does not apply to Belgian citizens/long-time residents (+2 years) and to Dutch (Netherlands) citizens to be proven by passport and/or residence permit.
