Our world-renowned piano faculty, comprised of distinguished pedagogues and some of today's most pre-eminent concert artists, offers the highest quality of teaching.  The Piano program is offered at the Roosevelt University.

Overview

The type of students we cultivate become more experienced performers, but also learn to explore their creativity and have a more informed sense of the historical and philosophical context behind the music. Students on the Piano program offered at the Roosevelt University learn how music works in conjunction with art and literature, become acquainted with historical performance practice, develop a hunger to discover excellent contemporary music, and most importantly, develop their own individual artistry and musical vision.

Guest artist master classes, workshops, performance festivals, and school sponsored competitions provide extra opportunities for our students to immerse themselves in.

General Requirements

  • Complete the online application.
  • Self-report cumulative high school GPA and SAT/ACT test scores. Note, official transcripts and test scores are only required upon the request of Roosevelt University.
  • Coursework completed outside the U.S. requires a Foreign Credential Evaluation to be submitted.
  • English Language Proficiency: All international students and individuals who completed a degree program outside the United States are required to meet this requirement.
  • Though not initially required, a personal statement, essay, letters of recommendation, and/or official transcripts may be requested after initial review of your application.
