Overview
Throughout this Liberal Arts (Media and Communications) (Hons) programme at Regent's University London you’ll examine media from traditional journalism to AI-generated content, and explore how they shape your perceptions, thoughts, emotions and social practices. Looking at current news stories and trends, you’ll debate ethics and regulatory issues (such as privacy, freedom of speech, misinformation) and the responsibilities of media companies and content creators in a rapidly changing digital landscape.
Through creative workshops, you’ll learn to produce industry-standard interviews, news reports, short features and social posts, as well as content for new platforms like Web3, VR and the metaverse – from websites to digital magazines, podcasts and more. You’ll also look at techniques in pre-production planning and digital camerawork, and consider the impact of light and sound in creating powerful content that engages audiences.
