Overview
Drawing on the biological, social, and behavioral sciences, anthropology brings together a variety of perspectives to learn about people at all times and in all places, and applies this knowledge towards solving modern problems.
American anthropology is commonly divided into four fields: archaeology, biological anthropology, cultural anthropology, and linguistic anthropology.
