Overview

Students interested in international studies and politics have the option of participating in competitions including Model United Nations, Model Organization of American Statesand Undergraduate Moot Court. These competitions give students an opportunity to witness and practice what they learn in the classroom.

Political Science is one of the most popular majors for students interested in law school. The Political Science Department works with the Pre-Law track to emphasize the most important issues that lawyers and jurists confront in their careers.  This includes criminal justice, constitutional law, public policy and the courts, and international law. The Political Science Department also offers a minor in Criminal Justice.

Graduates of the Political Science major at Baylor University have found jobs as lobbyists and business consultants.  They also have held positions in government agencies or as teachers.
