Description

The Scott Reid Memorial Scholarship is offered in partnership with MinterEllison Gold Coast. It honours the memory of Scott Reid, Partner of MinterEllison Gold Coast, who was a brilliant leader, mentor, lawyer and family man, who approached both his professional and personal life with great humility, empathy and good humour.

Scott also devoted much of his life to the development of AFL in Papua New Guinea, which now has more than 2.5 million people who have played the game and participates in international AFL tournaments in Australia.

Benefits

The scholarship offers $5,000 and annual four-week paid law clerkship, to help you with your studies.

Eligibility

  • Be a citizen of Papua New Guinea or demonstrate affinity with the Papua New Guinea community. In the event of there being no such applicant, applicants of Pacific Islands heritage or affinity will be considered.
  • Have applied to study an eligible law program at Griffith’s Gold Coast campus by the scholarship application closing date.
  • Satisfy all academic and English language entry requirements for the Bachelor of Laws (Hons), Bachelor of Laws (Hons)/double degree or Juris Doctor program.
  • Be a full-time student starting in Trimester 1.
