Law with Criminology - Undergraduate Foundation Programme

Overview

We realise that the situation around the world is changing all the time. If for whatever reason you cannot start your programme as planned, your place will be deferred to the next available start date. Provision will be made to continue and complete the programme online if required to ensure you will be able to compete your programme successfully and progress as planned to your university degree.

An Undergraduate Foundation Programme Integrated CAS (iCAS) route is available at ONCAMPUS Hull from January 2021. Please see all the progression degrees that you can access through iCAS at the University of Hull .

An iCAS is an integrated Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies. It means that you do not need to re-apply for a visa when you have completed your pathway course with ONCAMPUS in order to progress onto your chosen university. You will still be required to meet all the progression requirements after the first year to be admitted into Year 1 or Year 2 of your degree programme, but on successful completion of the ONCAMPUS Undergraduate Foundation Programme or International Year One and if you progress onto your chosen degree programme, you will not need to re-apply to extend your Student visa.

Who is this programme designed for?

This Law with Criminology - Undergraduate Foundation Programme at ONCAMPUS Hull  is designed to prepare international students, who have completed senior secondary education, for entry to undergraduate studies at the University of Hull. All students who successfully complete the UFP are guaranteed placement on a suitable programme of undergraduate study at the University of Hull. The UFP is set at level 3, which is equivalent to A-level standard in the UK.

How long will I study for?

This programme lasts one academic year (nine months). The year is divided into three terms of seven to eight teaching weeks and one examination week. On average, you will undertake 21 (and up to 25) hours of classroom-based study per week. 

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed at regular intervals throughout the programme to ensure you are making the progress required to successfully complete the programme. Full assessment of the programme will take place in the final term. Assessment methodologies are aligned to those that will be experienced in the University environment, and include project work, essays, presentations and unseen examination.
