Description
The scholarship is available to students from Slovakia, applying to a graduate course at a university in Austria.

Monthly grant rate: max. EUR 800.
Assistance in arranging accommodation and health insurance.
It is possible for OeAD scholarship holders to book accommodation (dormitory or apartment) with the OeAD student housing. The monthly costs are:
Monthly rent: EUR 250,- to EUR 600,- (depending on the amenities).
Monthly administrative fee: 18 EUR.
The costs for medical care abroad within the EU are offset by the respective national health care institutions. Doing an academic exchange within the EU, the candidates should take a EU health insurance card with them. If necessary, the OeAD can help with taking out an additional Austrian insurance.
Scholarship holders have to pay the costs for accommodation and insurance themselves.
Grant holders have to pay for all their travel costs.
Eligibility
- The selection process for all grants is competitive, i.e. there is no legal claim to a grant even if all application requirements are fulfilled. The number of grants that will be awarded during one call depends on the quota and/or the available budget. Applicants may apply for several grants at the same time.
- Applicants who seek admission to an university in Austria have to contact the institution of their choice directly.
- Grant holders must be present at their place of study in Austria to study or conduct their research project.
- Scholarship holders are not allowed to take up paid work in Austria while receiving an OeAD grant.
- Incomplete and delayed applications cannot be taken into account. Once an application has been rejected, it will not be considered any further within that call. However, it is possible to re-apply for this grant with a revised application in the future.

The following documents have to be uploaded with the online application:
Confirmation of supervision by the target organisation.
2 letters of recommendation by university teachers of the home institution (lecturers, professors or other academic staff with equivalent ranking; one of the letters of recommendation must be from the academic supervisor of the applicant).
Photocopy of the diploma and of the state examination certificate after completion of the first stage of your university studies (Bachelor programme).
Proof of proficiency in German (or other language, e.g. English, if English is the working language).
Approval of your research project by your home institution.
