Suna Kıraç Library was established on 12 October 1993. Its initial collection of 1590 volumes was located on the İstinye Campus, built on the site of a former match factory. Dr. Ahmet Şimşek, Director of the Computer and Information Technology (CIT) Office, held the additional charge of Director of the Library until December 1993.
On the main campus, there is a multi-purpose gym with a seating capacity of 2,000, an open tennis court, a soccer field with artificial turf, and an ice rink. The gym is 42 by 32 meters and has a 156 m running track that has a panoramic view of the court, squash and racquetball courts, aerobics and dance rooms, a fitness room, a cardio room, and a table tennis section.
There are multiple clubs that are formed and run by students and proceed their activities in coordination with the Extracurricular Activities Office. Students who participate within these clubs can improve themselves in social and academic sense, hasten their adaptation to the environment of the university and take part in important events, learning how to be a team player.

If you meet the requirements, you can pursue a double major with a wide range of departments, and the scholarship extension for one additional year makes it financially realistic to complete it properly. The faculty is academically strong and approachable. Many professors are open to involving students in research, and if you show initiative, it�s possible to find meaningful research experience even as an undergraduate. The university also offers multiple exchange opportunities, which makes international exposure more accessible. Beyond academics, student clubs and sports teams are active and there are many communities to join. One downside is that event planning can sometimes be inconsistent, so some activities may get canceled or face organizational issues. Overall, I would recommend Ko� to students who want a challenging environment with real academic opportunities and flexibility.

My overall study experience at Koç University has been extremely positive. What I liked most is the strong academic environment and the quality of my department. The courses are challenging, but they have helped me develop both technically and personally. I also really appreciate the social environment of the university. I have met many different people, made valuable friendships, and had the opportunity to learn from students with diverse backgrounds and perspectives. The campus life, facilities, and opportunities provided by the university also make the experience very enjoyable. Koç University encourages students to improve themselves not only academically but also through clubs, projects, internships, and social activities. One area that could be improved is the workload and scheduling of courses, especially during busy periods when several exams, assignments, and projects overlap. Communication regarding certain administrative processes could also be clearer and more consistent. Overall, however, I am very happy to be a student at Koç University. It is a demanding but highly rewarding university, and I believe it has contributed greatly to my academic development, social life, and future career.
