During the academic year all foreign students are accommodated only in VMU dormitory No. 2 named BALTIJA, which is located in the city center (Vytauto pr. 71, Kaunas) close to the university.

Health Insurance is one of the obligatory requirements for all international students at Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) that shall be organized before students’ arrival. There are two types of Health Insurance recognized in Lithuanian health care institutions:

I had a very positive experience at Vytautas Magnus University. The teachers are professional, supportive, and always willing to help students understand the material. The university also has a friendly environment, and the staff members are helpful and welcoming, especially for international students. One thing I would improve is the way group projects are organized. In many classes, students choose their own groups, but I think it would be better if teachers created the groups themselves. This could improve communication and interaction between international and local students, helping everyone feel more included and creating a stronger learning environment.
Studying at Vytautas Magnus University is an inspiring experience with supportive lecturers, an international environment, flexible study options, and a friendly student community. The university helped me grow academically and personally while enjoying life in beautiful Kaunas.
Good communication with the University Helpful staff all facilities are modern and clean. some lack of lab works sometimes, some questionable courses here and there, but it could be a demand of the local market. talking about the job market, it seems to be active in biotechnology and agriculture, a lot of opportunities. if you don't mind the cold winter, its perfect destination for Biologists.
