Established by Law no 6005 published in the Official Gazette no 27648, dated 21 July 2010, Istanbul Medeniyet University is a PUBLIC university located on the Anatolian side of Istanbul.

Founded on the five pillars of ‘Innovative,’ ‘Entrepreneurial, ‘Society- and Civilization-Oriented’, ‘International’, and ‘Research-Oriented’, the University consists of 10 faculties, 2 schools and 1 institute, as well as 14 research centers, 5 offices, and 8 coordination offices.
THE Young University Rankings 2022 assessed universities across a total of 13 performance indicators in five areas: teaching (the learning environment); research (volume, income and reputation); citations (research influence); international outlook (staff, students and research); and industry income (knowledge transfer). The list includes 539 young universities globally and 40 universities from Turkey that fulfill the criteria.

Medeniyet Female Student Dorm located in Soğanlık, Kartal is owned by the University and can accommodate up to 95 students. The dorm is run by a private enterprise and is in 15-minute distance to Cevizli Campus by foot and 5 minutes away by car.
Also, there are several accommodation facilities provided by the Credit and Dormitories Foundations (KYK) as well as some private dormitories available to students around all our campus areas located in the heart of Istanbul.
In the near future, we are planning with KYK to build a large dormitory in our Göztepe campus area.IMU, founded pursuant to 6005 numbered law published in 21 July 2010 dated Official Newspaper. Within the framework of this organization, IMU library was founded when Hüsnü Demirbaş assigned as Head of Library and Documentation Department.
In our four campuses, we have a total of 19 different sports facilities/fields along with their equipment: 2 artificial turf football fields, 2 tennis courts, 5 basketball/volleyball fields (one indoors), 7 ping pong tables and equipment, 1 billiards table and equipment, 1 walking/running track and cycling track.
There are currently a total of 81 student clubs in IMU which are involved in a wide variety of extracurricular activities including scientific/academic, voluntary, career, sports, cultural and artistic activities. Click here to learn about our active student clubs and how to contact them.

I completed a Master’s degree in Health Tourism Management at Istanbul Medeniyet University with a cumulative GPA of 3.5. My coursework included subjects such as Health Tourism, International Health Law and Patient Rights, Health Tourism Economics, and Marketing in Health Tourism. I also studied Quality Management and Accreditation in Health Tourism, along with Risk and Patient Safety Management. For my graduation project, I developed an AI-supported CRM application for health tourism.
The Health Management Master’s Program at Istanbul Medeniyet University trains students to become skilled managers in the health sector. It combines theory and practice, covering topics like health policies, management, and economics. Graduates learn to conduct research, work in teams, and use technology effectively in healthcare settings.
