In the 1960s, two small liberal arts colleges were founded by community members recognizing a need for private education in our newly formed state of Hawai‘i. In 1992, a picturesque Windward college merged with a downtown university, uniting the strength of two academically strong institutions.

Hawai‘i Pacific University’s Career Development Center provides students and alumni with the necessary resources to be highly competitive individuals in the college-to-career transition. HPU combines the excitement of an urban downtown campus with the serenity of a campus set in the green foothills of O’ahu’s Ko’olau mountains, and its aquaculture research facility, Oceanic Institute, borders the ocean. The main campus is located in downtown Honolulu, the business and financial center of the Pacific, and it is home to the College of Business and College of Liberal Arts.

i really like the professors of my core classes. They have been very motivating and caring. I also love the class size that isn't too big (we dont have those super big lecture classes, which allow us to have a better connection with the class).
