The Student Affairs Department (HEP) embodies the heart and soul of a university. It plays a very important role in terms of providing the required services and helping the students develop their personality and realise their true potentials.

  • Student Accommodation Centre (SAC) - SAC manages 15 Student Residential Halls (INASIS) for students, students with families and students with special needs.

  • EDC Hotel Kuala Lumpur - The hotel has 242 rooms including 6 suites. 

Library services

Perpustakaan Sultanah Bahiyah (PSB) has more than 1.2 million of various materials in its collection with a staggering of more than 100,000 of circulated items every year. It was also contributed by the acquisition of digital items in various subject that accommodate learning and teaching subjects in UUM with more than 1 million titles.

  • The University Health Centre (PKU) provides medical treatment to students, staff and outsiders. It also offers guidance and education in health matters to promote good health and prevent diseases.
  • Services include diagnosis and treatment of illnesses, dental and prescription medications and a variety of vaccinations and immunisations.

Campus life

  • As a fully residential university, Universiti Utara Malaysia provides accommodation for more than 20,000 students in 15 different residential halls. Many of these halls are named after multinational companies.
  • The UUM campus is fully equipped with modern facilities and amenities, including well-equipped and fully air-conditioned halls and classrooms, student lounge.

Sports facilities

  • Sports Centre is responsible to manage, organise, plan, regulate sports and recreational programme for students and staff. It is equipped with a modern complex and facilities covering an area of ​​74 acres offering almost 28 types of sports and leisure activities.
  • Sports Centre also focuses on high performance sports to participate in programme organised by the Malaysian University Sports Council (MASUM), SUKIPT, IMTGT and other activities at the highest level.

Universiti Utara Malaysia have the most convenient place for study as its away from city and we will submerging ourselves with silent and peace nature surrounding us. The facilities also in complete package for students to have fun and study in great state. Overall, my experience studying there is quite great although I'm only in my second year here.
