General requirements
Apply to the Gustavson School of Business as a high school student or a transfer student from another post-secondary institution.
- If you’re a high school student, we’ll evaluate you for admission to Year 1 of the Commerce program.
- If you’re a transfer student, we’ll evaluate you for admission to Year 2 or Year 3 of the Commerce program (depending on your completed coursework).
Alternatively, if you’re a high school student, you can apply to UVic in Humanities, Science or Social Sciences and transfer into the Commerce program after one or more years of full-time study.
You must demonstrate English language proficiency to attend UVic. Your transcripts are enough to prove proficiency if you've studied full-time in an academic program at the high school or post-secondary level within Canada for at least four years, and all of your instruction was in English.
