About this Program
An occupational therapist is a health care practitioner who analyses the impact of occupation on health and quality of life in order to restore a functional interaction between the person and the environment. This undergraduate program provides the student with a basic health sciences foundation and undergraduate level courses specific to the practice of Occupational Therapy.
This is a 90-credit degree which provides access to the Professional Master's program: a 58-credit Master of Science, Applied, Occupational Therapy degree. The Occupational Therapy curriculum at McGill University emphasizes occupation and occupational performance in daily life, community rehabilitation, client-centered and evidence based practice, clinical reasoning, ethics, teamwork and professionalism as essential components for the development of a humanistic, ethical, knowledgeable, competent, critical thinking and problem-solving occupational therapist.
