Overview

At York, you will be part of a small, tightly knit program in which you will develop the skills and knowledge of an effective mathematics educator. Your program will include small, group-based courses in which you can work closely with professors and your fellow students. You can participate in the work of our vibrant Teaching Stream Faculty on research and development in mathematics education and gain valuable research and teaching experience.

Recent students have worked on projects like Supplemental Instruction, the First-Year Experience, Flipped Assessments, Partially Populated Lecture Notes, Peer Leadership, Mathematics and Art, and many others. You can take a course on Experiential Education, and get teaching experience by participating in 1st year courses in Mathematics and Statistics as a tutor and study groups facilitator, and then reflecting upon your experience for course credit.
