Biochemistry is at the heart of life and the explanation of all life processes. On the Biochemistry (Hons) you’ll gain an understanding of complex biochemical processes, such as health, disease and ageing, and learn in a research-active environment.

Choose our integrated masters pathway and complete an extended laboratory-based dissertation, preparing you for a technical research career in industry or academia. We offer careers information, advice and guidance to all students whilst studying with us, which is extended to our alumni for three years after leaving the University. 93% of our biosciences and medicine students go on to employment or further study (Graduate Outcomes 2024, HESA).
