Overview
Years one and two in the Chemistry with Management and a Year in Industry programme at Imperial follow the same core lecture module content supplemented by two ancillary modules. These modules are not always chemistry modules, and have been chosen to support specific degree programmes.
Quick Facts:
- In the third year of this course you will take a mixture of core and optional modules, and complete a substantial research project.
- Your final year is spent in the Business School which is triple-accredited by AMBA, EQUIS and AACSB. The core modules including accounting, entrepreneurship and marketing equip you with an understanding of the management of the operating environment of business organisations, and prepare you for a career in management roles.
- The balanced programme of formal teaching, case studies and individual and group work is aimed at developing your personal, conceptual and analytical skills, as well giving you the chance to broaden your academic experience and mix with students from other disciplines.
- Chemistry informs everything, from developing new pharmaceuticals that will help fight disease, to mitigating climate change. This means our graduates are recruited into practically every branch of industry.
- Many choose to pursue a PhD, while others work in roles as diverse as industrial development, production and quality control, marketing, finance and teaching.
