Overview

The BSc  Sport Management (Hons)  degree offered by the Loughborough University  will provide you with a thorough grounding in the key strategic challenges and opportunities for sport by developing your understanding of sports organisations, sport governance, sport policy, sport marketing and sport economics.

Your Sports Management degree at Loughborough involves five strands: 

• There is an employability and research skills strand that allows you to experience practical sport management in your degree and provides you with the academic skills to engage in sustained independent research and study.
• Three further strands explore the social and policy environment in which sport management takes place, developing your understanding of economics and marketing in sport management, and examining the strategic and organisational elements of sport management.
• The final strand of our Sports Management degree provides optional modules that allow you to study the wider coaching, social and physical activity contexts that influence sport management.

Your future career

• Our graduates have found employment in a variety of commercial and non-commercial organisations in the sports sector in roles as diverse as sports development, volunteer management, sports marketing, operations, product and brand management, sponsorship strategy and communications. They have also gone on to pursue graduate positions with non-sport sector organisations in a variety of management, marketing, finance and accounting roles.
• Students also choose to progress onto postgraduate study, including Master's programmes in Sport Management and Sport Management, Politics and International Development.
