Overview

Our BSc  Sport and Exercise Science (Hons) degree offered by the Loughborough University  offers you the opportunity to study Sport and Exercise Science at one of the UK’s leading universities. You will gain insights into the physiological, biomechanical and psychological influences on human performance during the preparation for, and participation in, sport and exercise. A rigorous understanding of these core disciplines provides the foundation of applied practice within the sport and exercise sector.

You will also benefit from access to state-of-the-art laboratories, which will allow you to develop your practical, scientific and laboratory skills enabling you to apply your knowledge and understanding in the context of sports performance, physical activity, health and wellbeing.

• Sports-related positions our graduates have taken up include: sports coaches, PE teachers, exercise physiologists, sport psychologists, junior sports agents, personal trainers, strength and conditioning coaches, health advisors, and local government sports development officers.
• The emphasis on transferable skills (communication, project work, organisation) has enabled graduates to enter a wide variety of graduate-level positions within other sectors, including health, education, finance and management.
