Overview
This provides a foundation in finance including the study of international financial markets and multinational corporate finance. Topics presently covered include Financial Reporting and Investment Analysis. You study Mathematics with Finance in the ratio 3:1. A core of basic mathematics provides you with the fundamental mathematical knowledge and skills, and the basis for more advanced work later on.
You will cover core topics in the first year, developing your capacity to learn and apply mathematical ideas. In the second year you then take two themes: Probability & Statistics, and a half of Applied Mathematics, along with 40 credits from the Alliance Manchester Business School course units.
You will understand the significance and power of mathematics, and will acquire a thorough knowledge and understanding of the mathematical and financial topics that any employer would expect of a math with finance graduate.

- Further Mathematics is preferred but not essential. When the Further Maths A level is taken it will be included in the offer.
