Description

This Scholarship is open to UK fee-paying students who are women and hold an offer to study an undergraduate engineering course starting in September.

Benefits

There are 20 awards for £2,000 per year of study (up to four years). Scholarships will be awarded to the highest performing applicants or those with the highest potential to attain based on their UCAS application within each engineering discipline (at least two students per discipline). 

Eligibility

To be considered, you need to:  

  • be a woman (inclusive of trans women) / be assigned female at birth (such as AFAB non-binary);
  • have an offer of study an undergraduate engineering course at The University of Manchester, starting September;
  • be recognised as a UK resident and paying home (UK) fees;
  • have chosen Manchester as your firm choice by the June UCAS deadline;
  • commit to contributing to outreach and recruitment activities, especially encouraging more women to study engineering; 
  • achieve a minimum of 60% average performance during each year of study.
