Overview

On this Geography degree at the University of Nottingham you'll explore fundamental issues such as our relationship with the earth, the impact of changes in ecosystems, and how we use data to make sense of the global challenges that face us all.

You can tailor your studies through a wide range of optional modules covering diverse subject areas including physical geography, languages, natural sciences or business. You could also spend a semester studying abroad at one of our partner institutions in locations such as Australia, Canada, Europe and the USA.

Careers

Geographers look at issues from a wide perspective, which means our graduates are very popular with a diverse range of employers who appreciate the range of personal and transferable skills they offer.

Employability is at the heart of our teaching, and we ensure that all of our degrees will equip you with the essential skills and knowledge that employers are looking for. Our first-year Careers Skills for Geographers module includes guest lectures from organisations such as the Royal Geographical Society, and a programme of career networking events.
