Nottingham city life
Nottingham is a vibrant and lively city where you won’t get bored. You can visit museums and art galleries, engage in different sports activities, or see live concerts. From the numerous places you can go, the most popular are: the Broadway Cinema, the Savoy Cinema, the Gothic revival St Barnabas' Roman Catholic Cathedral, Nottingham Castle, Green's Windmill and Science Centre, Nottingham Natural History Museum, City of Caves, or Wollaton Park. In Nottingham you will also find smaller theatre venues such as the Nottingham Arts Theatre, the Lace Market Theatre and New Theatre.
The city has live music venues, including the Nottingham Arena and Rock City, both of which host local British as well as international artists. You can attend two music festivals annually - Dot to Dot, which takes place in city centre venues over a weekend in May, and Splendour, in Wollaton Park, each July.
Nottingham is home to two professional football clubs: Notts County and Nottingham Forest, and a rugby team, Nottingham R.F.C. You can also enjoy cricket matches at the Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club.
