Overview
The Economics and Sociology programme offered at The University of Manchester is taught by experts from one of the largest economics departments in the UK, you'll benefit from research-led teaching and have a variety of course units to choose from depending on your interests, including:
- quantitative options, such as econometrics, operational research, and mathematical economics;
- course units with a real-world focus, such as management, business, development, microeconomics, and macroeconomics;
- Course units from the broader social sciences, such as in politics and sociology.
Economics with sociology, finance, politics or philosophy all share a common first year. After your first year, you may apply to switch to a different pathway.
