The Tourism and Catering programme is offered by the Budapest Metropolitan University. 

What makes the program really unique is the host of specializations available for students including Health and Wellness Tourism Management, MICE Tourism Management and Destination Management drawing heavily on the rich experience that the local tourism industry gained with Hungary having a world renowned reputation due to its rich thermal healing water assets or its number one position in the international dental tourism. 

Furthermore, we place emphasis on the development of practical skills, therefore our students will have the opportunity for example to challenge themselves in professional competitions, attend workshops, or take part in hotel visits.

CIMA certificates granted at METU:

METU will incorporate the first step of CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) certificate to all English-taught business & economics programs from 2019.

The modules students will study are the followings:

BA2 Fundamentals of Management Accounting

BA3 Fundamentals of Financial Accounting

BA4 Fundamentals of Ethics, Corporate Governance and Business Law

Academic Requirements

When applying to our Bachelor programs, please make sure you enclose the following documents:

  • copy of your secondary school certificate/diploma with the final exam results
  • copy of the official translation of your secondary school certificate (if it is not in English or Hungarian)
  • copy of the photo-page(s) of your passport. Your passport needs to be valid for at least 6 months.
  • proof of payment of the 95 EUR application fee – please note that it is not refundable

Additionally, if you have an English language exam certificate, please enclose that to your application, too. (Minimum requirement: e.g. IELTS 5.5).
