While learning the fundamentals of the profession, you can lose yourself either in classical methods or the novelties of digital technologies, according to your own makings and interests.

Come to us if you are good at drawing and you would like to vivify your creatures, if you would try what it is like to animate on a trick desk and to shoot to a proper film, and if you want to know how to navigate with a “bird” in the 3D design software Leonar3Do. We are waiting for you either if you need help with learning how to use the different computer softwares, or if you have already felt at home in digital design.

The Animation programme offered by the Budapest Metropolitan University is designed for those individuals who are interested in classical and digital animation studies, 2d and 3d design, the specific genres of animation and contemporary motion picture art and design. The applicants are creative, flexible and open with a mature visual sense, patience and perseverance. They are preferably able to create and protect lasting values, they are able to share their knowledge and work both alone and in teams.

At animation and post-production studios, at graphic design and advertising studios as a digital spectacle- and game designer, as a web designer or as an independent artist.

  • The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / Hungarian.
  • Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original.
  • You must take the original entry qualification documents along with you when you finally go to the university.
  • Original documents are to be shown as part of the registration in person.
