Your passion for sustainable solutions drew you to a career within the environmental sector. To realize the change you’d like to see, you need a balance of practical knowledge and real-world application. This approach is exercised throughout the Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Practice curriculum taught at Royal Roads University, and especially in the final phase of the program where you select to complete either a 75-hour practicum or major research paper.

This online program is designed for individuals with a broad awareness of current and potential environmental issues; big-picture thinkers interested in developing their critical thinking ability and environmental knowledge while building a diverse network of peers to learn from and with. You’ll be studying with individuals interested in developing their skills for the environmental sector, including professional certification and managerial qualifications.

Delivery Model

Understanding the rising need for flexible education, our environmental practice programs are delivered entirely online. This program is for self-motivated learners, is 60 credits in length and can be accomplished in as little as two and a half years – depending on your academic schedule and applicable transfer credit(s). Core content provides a comprehensive foundation in environmental practices, and through a wide selection of elective courses from universities and colleges across Canada, you’ll be able to maintain a broad but distinctive industry focus – or hone in on your specific field of interest.

                          PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English Academic) is a language test that enables students to demonstrate their writing, listening, speaking, and reading skills when applying to study in English. Delivered and marked by computer, it reports on a scale between 10 and 90.

                        General Requirements

                        Standard Admission
                        • Minimum of 60 post-secondary arts or science credits, with a minimum GPA of 'B' (3.00/4.33) GPA, from a recognized post-secondary institution; or
                        • Completion of the Certificate in Environmental Practice (CEP) program at Royal Roads University, with a minimum GPA of 'B' (3.00/4.33)

                        Flexible Admission

                        Applicants who do not meet the Standard Admission requirements will be considered for Flexible Admission and assessed as follows:

                        • Applicants who have the required 60 post-secondary credits, but who don't meet the minimum GPA requirement, should have at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
