Overview

Marketing (Extended Degree) (Hons) at Northumbria University includes a foundation year that gives you the chance to establish a strong academic foundation while exploring a wide range business issues, ranging from strategy and marketing to entrepreneurship and responsible management. 

What will I learn in my Foundation Year?

This first year of this course will introduce you to the key concepts of human resource and marketing management and the concept of strategic and contemporary management. It will provide you with a broad context of knowledge and development of the essential skills required for industry. You will then learn how to apply key theoretical themes in an end of year project.

The foundation year of the course delivered at level 3 which develops your ability to study in Higher Education is not accredited.  Subsequent levels and years are accredited and deliver the knowledge, competencies, and skills required to meet the specific course accreditation requirements that relate to the approved accredited award title.
