Overview
Construction Project Management (Hons) at Bath Spa University lets you blend academic study with real-world experience. Strong links to local and regional construction sites and employers will let you test your learning in real-world projects. From understanding project lifecycles to managing cost, time, quality, and risk, you’ll begin to see how your skills can shape the built environment and your future career within it. You’ll also have the opportunity to tailor your studies through optional modules, allowing you to follow your interests and career ambitions.
Practical, real-world learning is embedded throughout the course. You’ll study the kind of tasks you’ll encounter in the construction industry, such as project planning, communication with colleagues and partners, reporting, teamwork and leadership. You'll work alongside students working towards other careers in the built environment, design, and business, gaining experience in the collaborative team working needed to successfully deliver construction projects.

Programme Structure
Courses include:
- You’ll develop a good awareness of the structure of the construction industry as you start to develop your own professional practice.
- Through engagement with more complex, real-world projects and practice-based, peer-to-peer learning, you’ll continue to develop your practical, creative, and professional practice skills. You’ll deepen and expand your theoretical, conceptual, and contextual knowledge around the design, operation, and reuse of buildings and spaces.
- We'll help you as you use your own creativity, applied knowledge and practical skills to successfully realise real-world collaborative and interdisciplinary projects. You will consolidate your expertise and professional experience into a comprehensive portfolio that clearly presents the attributes, skills and practical knowledge you have developed on the course.
