Description

The Employability Fund is available to eligible undergraduate students and recent graduates of Bath Spa University. It is designed to remove financial barriers to career development by supporting unpaid or low-paid work experience, career-related activities, freelancing essentials, and professional development opportunities. The fund helps students gain practical experience and improve their employability as they prepare for their future careers.

Benefits

Up to £500 towards unpaid or low-paid work experience.

Up to £300 towards career development activities or freelancing essentials, such as specialist training, conferences, equipment, software, subscriptions, advertising, interview expenses, or careers events.

Eligibility

  • Must be a UK Home undergraduate student currently studying at Bath Spa University or a recent Bath Spa University graduate completing the activity within 15 months of graduation.
  • Must meet at least one widening participation criterion specified by the University (such as low household income, first-generation student, disability, care experience, estrangement, refugee status, ethnic minority background, Armed Forces community, or other eligible category).
  • The proposed activity must improve employability or career prospects.
  • The activity must take place during the eligible funding period.
