Overview

The three main objectives of this program are to produce engineers who

• are skilled in the field of civil engineering and possess the appropriate skills and attitudes to work in the industry
• are creative, innovative, and socially responsible towards the community, culture, and environment, and
• are capable of working in advanced design and construction at both national and international levels. 

The Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Hons) program from University Putra Malaysia is a four-year study program (eight semesters) that includes courses related to the fields of Structural Engineering, Water and Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical and Geological Engineering, Highway and Transportation Engineering, and Project Management. This program is designed to have a study duration of four years (8 semesters) and a total of 137 credits for graduation. The program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC) of Malaysia.

Job opportunities for graduates of the Bachelor of Civil Engineering with Honours program are extensive, with employers ranging from small and medium-sized enterprises to multinational organizations and government agencies. Organizations or sectors that have provided job placements for Bachelor of Civil Engineering graduates include Mint Consult, Petronas, Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering, RE Consultant, Sepakat Setia Perunding, Titijaya Land Berhad, and the Ministry of Works.
