Overview

Throughout the Aviation Technology - Air Traffic Control programme from VIVES University of Applied Sciences you’ll be the expert giving pilots clear instructions on flight levels and routes.

This combination is unique. VIVES is the only place where you can study Aviation at bachelor’s level and specialise as an air traffic controller at the same time.

You'll choose this specialisation in the third year of your Aviation programme.
Your classroom? The state-of-the-art training facilities of skeyes in Steenokkerzeel – the beating heart of Belgian air traffic control.
You’ll dive deep into the strict procedures every air traffic controller must master.
You'll combine theory and practice, with high-tech simulators preparing you for the real deal.
Your destination: the CANAC 2 control centre in Steenokkerzeel or the control towers of airports in Belgium and abroad.
Your future jobs? Approach Controller, Area Controller, or Tower Controller.

You have Belgian nationality or are a citizen of an EU country.
You are between 17 and 30 years old (and at least 18 by the end of the year).
You have not taken part in the skeyes selection process during the past two years.
You complete a competency-based interview in Dutch or French.
You enjoy full civil and political rights.
You are able to follow the entire third phase in one year.
