Programme Structure

Phase 1: You’ll start with a solid introduction to the world of nursing. You will also be taught a wide range of basic sciences, such as anatomy and pharmacology, giving you a clear understanding of healthcare in our society. In this first phase, you will go on a 7-week internship.

Phase 2: You’ll be introduced to all areas of nursing, both in theory and in practice. Alongside students from other programmes, you’ll work on real-life cases and discover how interprofessional collaboration really works. At the same time, you’ll sharpen your research skills and develop your relational and ethical competencies.

Phase 3: In your third year, you’ll begin exploring nursing leadership. You’ll learn to take initiative, make decisions, and put your entrepreneurial spirit into practice. By choosing certain courses and your internship, you can further develop your talents within a care domain that interests you.

Applicants with a Flemish diploma follow the same criteria as for Dutch-language programmes, while those with non-Flemish diplomas must have their qualifications evaluated by the Admissions Office. Proof of English proficiency is required through recognized tests.
