Overview

At Sport, Health and Exercise Sciences (Hons) from Edge Hill University you will learn how sport, physical activity and exercise can be used to prevent, manage and treat various physical and mental health conditions. And you will also explore the use of technology and data analytics in supporting health promotion, behaviour change, and encouraging people to be physically active.

Your future career

This degree will prepare you for a wide range of careers in sport, physical activity and exercise, as well as the health and care sectors. These include roles in physical and mental health promotion, whether in communities and schools, or professional sports settings.

The course will also prepare you for work in primary and secondary care settings, including through physical activity and exercise promotion as part of multi-disciplinary teams alongside other health professionals.

Our students also have the opportunity to continue onto postgraduate study. And many train to become teachers with a PGCE in primary, secondary in physical education, or within further education.
