Overview
The Digital Design (Hons) programme at Northumbria University will provide you with a strong foundation in industry-standard design tools and practices for developing engaging digital experiences and products across a range of platforms and devices (e.g. web, app, smart devices).
You will experience a range of digital design methods and processes: Visual Communication, Interface Design (UI) User Experience (UX) Data Visualisation, to AI-led Design and Design for Virtual or Mixed Reality.
Studio-based practical activities will foster your development towards a final portfolio of work. Live briefs will be used to enhance your experience, ensure you have a connection to creative industries, and ready you for your future career.

General requirements
- 112 UCAS Tariff points: From a combination of acceptable Level 3 qualifications which may include: A-level, T Level, BTEC Diplomas/Extended Diplomas, Scottish and Irish Highers, Access to HE Diplomas, or the International Baccalaureate.
- Applicants will need Maths and English Language at minimum grade 4/C, or an equivalent.
- A portfolio of creative design work is required.
- Applicants with a range of qualifications which may not match those shown above are also welcomed
