Overview
The European Cultures - Germanistik Studies degree from the University of Luxembourg is ideal for students who want to qualify in German Literature and Linguistics, but who also wish to explore other fields of study.
We offer a wide variety of courses in both linguistics and literary studies, covering different periods, genres, and critical and theoretical schools.
Career opportunities:
Our graduates continue their studies at Master level in German literature and/or linguistics.
Their interdisciplinary training also prepares them for postgraduate studies in other fields in the Humanities.

General requirements
- To qualify for admission to the Bachelor en Cultures Européennes (BCE), you will need a secondary school leaving certificate awarded or declared equivalent by the Luxembourg Ministry of Education, Children and Youth.
- German (C1 level)
- Second Language: English or French (B2 level)
- Third Language: English or French (A2 level)
- The Admissions Commission will consider strong bilingual applications (German/ English or German/French) that meet all other criteria.
