Overview

The Business – Human Resources (Optional Co-op) course from Centennial College will be offering a variety of delivery modes for new students in all programs. These can include, asynchronous learning, synchronous learning, hybrid, and on-campus deliveries, including evenings and weekends.

In just two years, students will acquire the basic skills necessary to work in the exciting field of human resources [HR]. Graduates will have a foundation of general business knowledge to help them understand how human resources contributes to organizational success.

Students will then focus on specific HR functional areas, including recruitment and selection, compensation, health and safety, and more. The Business–Human Resources program also provides an optional co-op.

This program also includes courses to qualify graduates towards the academic component of the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) © designation from the Human Resources Professional Association [HRPA], as well as towards the CIM © designation from Chartered Managers Canada [formerly Canadian Institute of Management]. Additional courses will be required to meet the full academic component of these professional designations.
