Overview
Throughout the (Hons) Learning Disabilities Nursing course from the University of West London you will learn how to assess the often complex social and healthcare needs and support the delivery of robust, evidence-based care.
The course will prepare you for current nursing practice and is approved against the Nursing and Midwifery Council Standards of Proficiency for Registered Nurses. These standards set out the knowledge and skills you, as the next generation of learning disabilities nurses, will learn, to enable you to deliver compassionate, person-centred care underpinned by evidence.
With equal time spent learning in practice placement and the classroom, you will graduate ready to find rewarding work as a learning disabilities nurse.

On successful completion of the nursing course, you will be eligible to apply to register with the NMC, as a learning disabilities nurse.

Your UCAS points would normally include at least 2 subject areas.
