Overview
Humanities, Society, and Culture - Psychology BA course delivered by the Anglo-American University (AAU), Prague combines theoretical learning with practical applications in psychology. Designed to enhance critical and ethical thinking, research skills, and personal growth, it allows students to align their study with their aspirations while earning a globally-recognized degree.
The Psychology concentration will develop students’ understanding of human behavior, how the mind works, how we perceive and understand experience, and how to achieve mental wellbeing.
Building on the general education and major courses found in the Humanities, Society and Culture (HSC) BA program, the Psychology Concentration provides a comprehensive introduction to psychological principles, methods, and techniques. The core areas of psychology–developmental, social, cognitive, moral, and evolutionary–are covered, along with the psychology of emotions and motivation, interpersonal relations, and the subconscious.
The concentration will also enhance skills in critical reasoning, theoretical and empirical research, analysis, reflection, communication, cooperation, and problem solving, along with ethical awareness and the competencies essential for further study and training in the field of psychology.
The Psychology concentration consists of modules with required and optional courses that give students the freedom to explore what psychology is and what it means to them, while choosing courses that dovetail with their career and personal aspirations.
