Description

The First-Year Honors Scholarship is designed to support outstanding undergraduate students entering their first year at AAU based on prior academic achievement and English language proficiency.

Benefits

A recipient may receive either 50% or 30% off a portion of their tuition fees.

These discounts may be applied upfront in full to either the first or second semester of the recipient’s first year, depending on the circumstances, or may be distributed across several consecutive semesters in the amount of 10% per semester. 

Funds will be disbursed directly towards the recipient’s tuition fees and will not be redeemable in cash.

Eligibility

  • Transfer students are not eligible for this scholarship.
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 or equivalent (Czech Maturita 1.5; A-levels ABB; IB 32).
  • Must have a minimum TOEFL iBT of 94 or equivalent(IELTS 7; SAT ERW 650; ACT English+Reading 57; IB English A 5 at SL or HL; IB English B 6 at SL or HL; SCIO GAP 85th percentile).

To be considered, admitted students must first be recommended for the scholarship by the Dean’s Office following a successful interview.

They must then submit the following documents via email to the Financial Aid Office before the start of their first semester:

Diploma;

Complete Transcript;

Proof of English Language Proficiency.

Please note that this scholarship is open to undergraduate students commencing their degree program in the fall term or later.

This scholarship can be combined with other scholarships.
