Overview
Biomedical science applies biological principles to medicine. With this Biomedical Science (Hons) degree from University of Hull is ou’ll explore the physiological processes and functions of the human body to appreciate disease processes, diagnosis and treatment. - PET (Positron Emission Tomography) Research Centre
We’re one of the few UK campuses with a pre-clinical imaging unit. This state-of-the-art facility uses medical imaging tech for research and early diagnosis of diseases such as cancer and dementia.
- Microscopy Suite
You could carry out research in our Microscopy Suite – an imaging facility for investigating the diagnosis of cancer and metabolic and cardiovascular diseases.
- Allam Research Building
You could have the chance to carry out cutting-edge research projects in our state-of-the-art £10 million Allam Research Building – a centre for cancer and cardiovascular research.
- The Daisy Building, based at Hull’s Castle Hill Hospital
You could access this leading research lab – where technology to treat cancer, heart conditions and respiratory problems are being developed – thanks to our NHS Trust collaboration.

- At least 80 points must come from A levels, BTEC, or other equivalent qualifications.
- Applicants should have A level Biology/Applied Science at Grade C or above (or merit from relevant BTEC). Applicants taking the reformed A-level must also Pass the practical element.
- IB Diploma: 28 points including 5 in HL Biology
- Pass Access to HE Diploma overall with a minimum of 112 UCAS tariff points including a minimum of 18 credits at Merit in Biology
