Overview
In Engineering Physics at McMaster University, we create advanced materials, devices and systems based on our fundamental understanding of physics. Our faculty and students are pushing the envelope of new technologies to solve the grand challenges of the future such as energy supply, human health, and information and communications technologies. The total time from admission to Engineering to graduation with a B.Eng. in Engineering Physics is four years, and five years for the combined B.Eng. Management or the B.Eng. Society degrees. Graduates of the program provide valuable feedback, which helps to maintain the relevance of the undergraduate curriculum to current engineering applications. One of the strengths of the Engineering Physics program is that it is very broadly based and prepares its graduates to pursue a wide range of career paths. All students in the program obtain a background in electrical science, engineering materials, classical and quantum mechanics, thermodynamics, electronics, data acquisition and handling, mathematical physics and numerical analysis. In the final two years of the program, students have the opportunity to focus on one of the four specialized areas of study. Students who are entering Level 2 of a B.Eng. program or Level 3 of a B.Eng. Management or B.Eng. Society program are able to choose an area of specialization.

General requirements
- An official transcript is a complete academic record of all individual courses and grades achieved at an educational institution. It must be signed by a presiding official and bear the seal or certified stamp of the issuing institution.
- Internationally educated applicants who are currently residing in Canada and are unable to request that their official transcripts be submitted to McMaster directly from their home institutions because they are no longer residing in that country must subsequently provide a credential evaluation with document authentication from World Evaluation Services Canada (WES). McMaster undergraduate programs require the WES ICAP Course-by-Course with GPA calculation assessment for colleges and universities. For High School Diplomas or Secondary Level Credentials, WES only provides the ICAP Basic Report.
