Overview
Course Details
The Building Construction Engineering program at University of Bologna is a three-year course, delivered entirely in English, focused on the Building itself and aims to train engineers with wide-ranging international professional experience.
The degree programme in Building Construction Engineering aims to provide students with solid training, complying with the highest European and international standards, in the methodological aspects of basic building science and techniques, as well as analytical skills used to perform professional activities, also working on the design and management of buildings, structures, systems and technological components.
The learning outcomes are achieved through a learning path in which students acquire a command of the methodological and operational aspects of the subjects traditionally characterising the training of building engineers working as designers and managers of the design, production and use of buildings and infrastructures.
Subsequently the students will tackle core practical subjects, constantly applying the methods and techniques of civil engineering and architecture traditions to their studies. The curriculum then develops construction science and technique, geotechnics, hydraulics, technical physics and plants, topography and geomathematics: these subjects are fundamental for acquiring the design and managerial skills characterising civil and construction engineering.
