Many careers in today’s health sector require skills from both health and other disciplines. These roles – which don’t always involve direct contact with patients – include health education, management, information and planning, and health advocacy.

You can choose to study the Bachelor of Health Science without choosing a major, following an individual pathway. This is a great way to tailor the degree to your interests and prepare yourself for a wide range of non-clinical careers. As part of your degree you can include one or two minors from subjects across AUT, or develop skills in subjects like medical interpreting and translation, health administration or health advocacy.
