Overview

The Fashion Marketing (Hons) course at University of Huddersfield  focuses on the creative and strategic side of the side of the fashion industry giving you the skills and knowledge needed to build brands, connect with audiences, and develop effective marketing campaigns across digital and physical platforms.

Throughout the course, you will explore key areas of fashion marketing including branding, digital marketing, social media strategy, trend forecasting, styling, event planning, and creative direction. You will work on practical projects that respond to real industry briefs, helping you understand how fashion products and ideas are developed, communicated, and positioned within the market. Collaboration is central to the course, and you will have opportunities to work with students from fashion design, photography, film, and music, reflecting the interdisciplinary nature of the creative industries.

Your Career

This course aims to help you to develop the skills needed for roles such as marketing, styling, fashion PR, advertising, social media and promotion, both in the UK and abroad.

Reflecting industry practice is at the heart of this degree, and as such you will work collaboratively as well as individually on a variety of projects; in the past, for example, students have delivered exciting live projects for brands such as Coach, Focus, L.K. Bennett, Patrick Sportswear, Something Wicked, Topshop, Primark and Vollers. Enriching your learning will be a series of field trips to exhibitions and other appropriate cultural and commercial events; these will complement your studies and inspire your ideas.
