In this HKU-Cambridge Undergraduate Recruitment Scheme (Engineering and Computer Science) programme, you will spend three years in Cambridge and two years in Hong Kong to earn three degrees over five years.

Successful completion of the programme means you’ll be eligible for professional accreditation and be able to pursue desirable career opportunities around the world.

Programme Structure

Degree structure:

In year one, HKU will nominate students for assessment by the University of Cambridge. Following a written test and interview, nominated students who meet the entry conditions will be accepted for entry to Cambridge in year three. If you don’t meet the requirements, you will remain at HKU to complete the Bachelor of Engineering.
Study Bachelor of Engineering in Engineering Science at HKU.
Study Engineering/Computer Science in their first year of study at the University of Cambridge.
Upon completion of this year’s study at Cambridge, you may apply for a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Cambridge.
Study Master of Engineering at Cambridge. Upon completion, you will receive a Master of Engineering from the University of Cambridge and also may apply for a BENG degree from HKU.

Applicants should provide proof of achievement in an international examination (IB Diploma, GCE A Level, SAT / ACT / AP, etc.) or a national examination (Indian Board Examinations, ATAR, Canadian provincial examinations, etc.), together with the English language and the second language proficiency to apply to the University.
