Overview

The Industrial Heavy Equipment Technology degree from Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) focuses on highway and off-highway mobile equipment, as well as engine-powered stationary equipment, preparing you to work with a wide range of industrial machinery.

You will develop expertise in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems while gaining practical experience using industry-standard tools and equipment. With a strong emphasis on emerging technologies, the programme equips you to meet the evolving demands of industries such as mining, logging, trucking, agriculture, transportation, gas processing, oilfield servicing and construction.

Training will prepare you for in-demand roles using a high level of technical training to tackle the challenge of advancing technologies.
