Overview
Through the Veterinary Technology degree from Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) you’ll develop the skills needed for both small and large animal practices. Career opportunities:
Upon graduation of the programme, you will find a wide range of employment options, from assisting veterinarians in private practice to working at animal research facilities and zoos.
As an animal health technologist, you will have the hands-on skills to perform a variety of tasks including laboratory analysis of blood, urine and fecal samples. You’ll also be able to assist and perform radiographic procedures, and assist in anesthetic and surgical procedures.
