Overview

Studying the Broadcast - Radio programme offered at Conestoga College you will learn from industry professionals and have access to state-of-the-art digital audio studios, providing you the opportunity to learn on the most current equipment and software. You will hone your on-air skills doing live shifts on our streaming station Q2 or on Conestoga's radio station, 88.3 CJIQ FM, one of the largest campus radio stations in Canada. Skills you will learn, develop, and practice as part of the two-year programme include:

Creative writing

News presentation

Video creation. You will conclude the programme with a field placement. Which provides you with the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals and make valuable contacts.

Careers

Graduates find employment as an announcer, news anchor/reporter, creative/commercial writer, audio producer, promotions and social media professional, marketing and sales representative, online host, podcaster, blogger, or digital media entrepreneur.
For students who want to go further, the School of Creative Industries offers a graduate certificate in Broadcast Performance and Digital Media.
